Abstract
This shotgun house was built in the 1930s by an unknown architect. It is located at 575 Wells Avenue in the North Memphis area. There used to be an entire block of shotgun houses identical to this one. Only two still remain today, only one of which is in a livable condition. The other standing house is abandoned and boarded up. The building is made of wood and Classical in style. It has a jerkinhead roof and very small columns with Ionic capitals.
