Abstract
The Regional Medical Center is located at 877 Jefferson Avenue in the Medical District area of Memphis. The center is made up of several buildings which were built out of brick and concrete. The building was built in 1983, but there have been many architects who have worked on it since. The architects involved were Francis Mah, Nathan and Partners, Walk Jones, Clair Jones, and Harold Thompson. It is part of the Brutalist architectural style. Some of the buildings have large strip windows and on one occasion a wall made of windows. The older buildings have large bas relief ornamentations throughout. There are many blind bull?s-eye windows on various buildings. To learn more see Memphis: An Architectural Guide by Eugene J. Johnson.
