Abstract
This image shows a detail of the fluted column shafts at the Temple of Olympian Zeus, also known as the Olympieion. Construction of the temple began during the 6th century CE, and was not completed until the 2nd century under the rule of Roman Emperor Hadrian. This image was photographed in Athens, Greece, in 2011.
