Abstract
Ashlar Hall was built and designed by real estate developer by Robert Brinkley Snowden in 1896. It is located at 1397 Central Avenue in the Central Gardens district of Memphis. The building is made of Ashlar stone, which is where the name Ashlar Hall originated. The mansion is in Gothic Revival style. The mansion has a few large bay windows. The building features a several gargoyles. There is a portico with Ionic order columns for the colonnade. There is one large tower, but there are many different heights and layers to the roof of the mansion. There are a few dormer windows.
