Plaque inscription:"S. DeWitt Clough Hall. This building, devoted to the fine arts, the study of anthropology and psychology, and to continuing liberal education for citizens of the Mid-South, was made possible by generosity of: Mrs. S. DeWitt Clough (Chicago) in memory of her hisband and gifts from Miss Etta D. Hanson (Memphis), Mr. and Mrs. Hugo N. Dixon (Memphis), Mr. C.W.
