Abstract
This is a diptych featuring Cloar’s Old Church and Group of People in a Woody Place, A Long Time Ago. In the piece, Old Church, there is a woman walking alongside a browned field next to a white panelled church. The upper piece, Group of People in a Woody Place, A Long Time Ago, There is a group of people dressed in white and white hats in a browned forrest. Under the upper image reads “GROUP OF PEOPLE IN A WOODY PLACE, A LONG IME AGO - Carroll Cloar”. Under the bottom piece reads “OLD CHURCH - Carroll Cloar”. The two pieces are both matted separately in white and red with brown matting on top. It is framed by a dark wooden frame and glass. In the upper piece there is a signature to the bottom right reading “Carroll Clover”. On the back in the bottom’s center reads in graphite “Rec 011” and there is a framer’s sticker in the bottom’s center.
