Abstract
This framed print depicts three nude women dancing. Pencil writing in the bottom left corner reads "TRIO" and the artist signature is on the bottom right side "Warren Davis." The print is in a brown wood frame under a white mat and glass. The back of the frame is covered in brown paper which is torn in several places. There is a sticker on the back "CORRECT FRAMING / 6073-2 / MEMPHIS PHOTO SUPPLY COMPANY / IN HOTEL PEABODY MEMPHIS." Artist biography: Warren B. Davis (1865-1928) was an American painter and illustrator known for his dry-point etchings and tempera paintings of idealized young women. Davis studied at the Art Students League in New York. This is a sketch of his painting Trio, perhaps a preliminary one to the painting.
