Abstract
Description
In this interview with Fred Davis, founding member and treasurer of the Shelby Country Democratic Club, he recounts his efforts to organize African-American communities to assist the Ray Sugarmon campaign and other important local elections. He also describes his work with the NAACP, various protest and sit-in experiences, and how religion and music influence himself and his community.
