Abstract
This 1926 copper sculpture in Overton Park, Memphis, Tennessee depicts an infantryman from World War I or "doughboy," as these soldiers were called. This sculpture created by Nancy Coonsman Hahn was among the most popular type of American memorials to World War I fighting soldiers.
