Abstract
This is a portrait of Aaron Knox Burrow in a black suit and blue tie on a dark background. The portrait is framed with a decorative gold frame with a plaque in the bottom center that reads “AARON KNOX BURROW / 1871-1968 / DIRECTOR, SOUTHWESTERN AT MEMPHIS 1945-1962 / TREASURER 1945-1962”. The artist’s signature is in the bottom right of the piece in red that reads “JAschA ShAffrAN / 1937”.
