Abstract
This painting depicts a Native America figure most likely a ?Gan Dancer.? The figure is kneeling on one knee and has his arms in the air. He is holding two swords facing each other above the head. The figure is wearing a yellow skirt that reaches the ankles. The figure has dark black torso and arms with orange zigzags across his chest. He is wearing a gray mask over his face and a large extravagant head piece. A Gan Dancer is a Native American spirit dancer from the Apache Mountain tribe. There is a long history of dance and have a great importance and role in the Apache culture. In the bottom right corner is the artist's signature "Housey". The frame is light brown and wooden. The piece is framed by a white window mat and is covered with a sheet of glass. On the back, there is brown paper.Reframed, see notes.
