Abstract
This is a view of Crete from a high vantage point that shows not only the surrounding mountains, landscape, and towns, but also a building complex consisting of a large white building and some lower constructions set into the hillside in the center of the photo. A stone field wall is attached to the large white building. The facade of the large white building has a bell tower with a cross on top at the center, indicating that it is a church.
Description
This image was digitized and added to Dlynx by the Visual Resources Center during summer, 2023. The metadata was created by students enrolled in Dr. Miriam Clinton's Greek Art classes. The student cataloger's name can be found in the dc.contributor.advisor field.
