Interview with George Brown, an attorney and a representative on the Memphis City School Board. Brown and his family were one of the first black households on his street in the Vollintine-Evergreen community. He talks about the changing complexion of the neighborhood and the ever-changing boundaries of the VECA neighborhood. Brown mentions community churches and some of their impact and programs. this interview was conducted in 1979. �
