Plaque inscription: Southwestern at Memphis records with gratitude and affection the substantial provision made by S. DeWitt and Rachel Clough of Chicago, Illinois for the enchantment and display of the Jessie L. Clough Art Memorial For Teaching, established in 1950 by Floy K. Hanson, of Memphis (1878-1951), and attended with competence and dedication by her sister Etta D. Hanson.
