Abstract
This document typed by W. M. Farrington provides an detailed account of the cotton syndicate of Robertson Topp, Sam Tate, Farrington, Thomas A. Nelson, and Moses J. Wicks. The goal of the syndicate was to make an effort through the courst to compel the US to return to them the tax paid on raw cotton which was imposed under an act of Congress.
