Abstract
This image shows the double peak of Psiloritis, also called Mount Ida, from the area around Phaistos. The Kamares Cave is near the location of the photograph. Mount Ida is the highest mountain on Crete and the legendary birthplace of Zeus.
Description
This image was digitized and added to Dlynx by the Visual Resources Center during summer, 2023. The metadata was created by students enrolled in Dr. Miriam Clinton's Greek Art classes. The student cataloger's name can be found in the dc.contributor.advisor field.
