Abstract
This painting is a scene of the interior of the Chartres Cathedral. In the center of the painting is a large tan pillar. Beside the pillar are several figures in black robes. Behind the pillar are four stained glass windows with intricate, colorful patterns. The ceiling of the cathedral is arched. In the bottom left corner of the painting there is a signature "P G Rigaud". There are a few spots on the painting where the paint is chipping off. The painting is held by a gold frame.
