Description
In this interview with Walter P. Armstrong Jr, president of the Board of Education of the Memphis City Schools from 1956 to 1961, Armstrong recalls an NAACP lawsuit against segregation and the impact that the Sanitation Workers' Strike had on the climate of race relationships in Memphis.
