Description
Here Anne Shafer, Head of the League of Women Voters from 1958 to 1961, describes her political work and Civil Rights activism from the mid to late 1960s. A devout Catholic, she talks about organizing members of the church in the Catholic Human Relations Council and overcoming the conservative push-back within the clergy.
