Abstract
This digital image shows a mural that was painted in the fall of 2013 with the assistance of aspiring mural painters Allison Lawyer, Jinweg Luo of Rhodes College, and Stax Music Academy students, Josiah Taylor and Karlos Stevison, under the guidance of Stax instructor Melody Barham. This project was created in partnership with LeMoyne-Owen College and the Stax Music Academy. Part of the UrbanArt Commission Public Art Community Outreach Program, the work is funded by the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau, an ArtsMemphis Mosaic Grant and the Tennessee Arts Commission.
