Abstract
Italian 201 is an intermediate course for students with an elementary knowledge of Italian (prerequisite: Ital 101 and 102 or the equivalent). This course will focus on reviewing and expanding on all important grammatical structures, and on introducing new facets of Italian life-style, culture, and history.
By practicing the language actively and creatively in meaningful contexts, students will become proficient in the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. At the same time they will understand and appreciate better the Italian-speaking world of today.
Classes are taught in Italian and are devoted to the practice of Italian, focusing on comprehension and dramatization of different situations and contexts. Therefore, you are expected to come prepared to class: each day you will have to study the assigned sections and complete many exercises before class.
