Abstract
In this course, you will study the fundamental principles that define chemistry by exploring the composition, structure, and properties of matter. You will learn the theories that help explain the natural world and their applications in the world. Objectives: To be successful in this course, you should work towards: 1. Understanding the basic models that scientists use to explain the observed composition, structure, properties, and reactivity of matter. 2. Creatively understanding the principles of chemistry to appreciate its relevance and significance to human life. 3. Developing both qualitative and quantitative problem solving skills.
