Abstract
This course is designed to develop representational drawing skills and a critical approach to form
and content. Through the process of drawing students will learn to interpret three-dimensional
reality on a two dimensional surface. The course will consist of in-class and homework
assignments. We will work primarily from observation. The subjects will include still life,
landscape (weather permitting), and portraiture. The course will be supplemented with technical
demonstrations, critiques, and slide lectures.
