Abstract
This is a photograph of a painting by Peter Bowman, a member of Rhodes College faculty from 1972-1978. The painting is of a corner of a floor showing the bottom of two chairs and a rug. The rug is multi-colored and multi-patterned. There is a circluar stain that is 3" in diameter with drip marks towards the bottom of the canvas. On the front there are three large tears/rips revealing the canvas. One is in the left-center on the green chair, one is in the yellow area of the rug, and one is on the baseboard of the wall. There are other various smaller chips in the paint as well as a vertical streak of tan paint. It has a wooden frame and no glass. On the back on the upper right side in red marker reads "89.25". The frame is warped where the top left side bends out and bottom right bends in. In the center of the canvas's back in graphite is a "5" circled. There are many stains and possibly mold spots in the corners of the canvas's back.
