Abstract
For the Urban Art Commissions 10th anniversary, the Poetry Panels was installed and painted by volunteers. Eight popular songs lyrics about Memphis were written in white on top of red 4 feet high wooden panels spanning 48-feet in width. A few of the artists featured are Roy Acuff, Big Bill Broonszy, Jerry Lewis and Rufus Thomas.
