Description
A memo addressed to President Kennedy which appeared as a full page ad in the Commercial Appeal, February 22, 1961, sponsored by the Memphis chapter of the NAACP. It asks the new President to make all the rights and opportunities of American democracy available to "Negroes in Memphis." Signed by Jesse H. Turner, President, and (Rev) H. C. Nabrit, Chair of Freedom Committee.
