Abstract

Dr. and Mrs. Moore, longtime active members of Second Presbyterian Church, Memphis. Were foremost among those who had a great vision for christian higher education and labored unselfishly to establish the college in Memphis. Dr. Moore was a member of the board of directors of Southwestern from 1924 to 1957. Serving continously as its secretary for thirty-two years. He also contributed his services as college physician from 1925 to 1946, and continued as medical consultant until 1951.
