Abstract
The equipment for the expedition was flown to Seattle from Memphis and then placed on a barge for transport to the research site in Alaska.

This image was scanned and enhanced from a faded snapshot owned by the Physics Department by Michael Hanig, class of 2014, in preparation for the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Alaska Expedition held in October, 2013.
