Abstract
This is a painting of children and animals outside with workers in the background. They are illuminated by the sun and are surrounded by trees and shrubbery. There are multiple children petting and feeding a goat. There are many cracks in the paint. The painting is surrounded by a decorative gold frame. The artist’s signature “J.T. PeeLe / 1862”. There is damage in the top right corner where the paint has chipped and shown green.
