Abstract: | This is a round copper coin from 383 to 408 CE. On the obverse is a pearl diademed and currassed bust facing right with the inscription DN ARCADIVS PF AVG. On the reverse is arcadius standing right with his left foot on a captive, he is holding a standard and a globe. The inscription on the reverse is VIRTVS EXERCITI. There is the mint mark "ANTS" on the reverse. |
Description: | This coin was acquired by the College on March 23, 2015 as part of a donation by Auben Gray Burkhart, a longtime friend of the College.
