Description: In this interview, H.T. Lockard describes the political maneuvering of the Memphis Democratic Party from the early 1950s through the 1960s. He recounts the large roll played by the Shelby County Democratic Club in organizing and registering voters, as well as its splinter organizations, the Tennessee Voters Council and Ninth District Democratic Club.
