Abstract: This painting depicts five Native American men riding horses. They are carrying arrows. There is a blue horse and a gray horse in the background, as well as a brown horse, a tan horse, and a black and white horse in the foreground. The men carry circular shields with pink rectangular flags on them. Some of the men are wearing pants, others are simply wearing cloth. None of them wear a shirt. The background is bright pink. In the bottom right corner lies the artist's signature "Oscar Howe". The frame is brown and lays over glass on an offwhite window mat. On the back in the center there is a black stamp that is partially seen. It reads "HAZEL'S FRAME".
Description: This object was photographed and inventoried during summer 2017 by Jane Esklidsen '19 and Reagan Alley '18. It was uploaded to DLynx during fall 2018.
