The casualty rate is being ignored by safety expert. Rarely do this writer look behind the news, but headlines tell that singer Richard Farina, singer Bobby Dylan, are only two of the hundreds of statistics that have been front-page in recent weeks. Richard Farina is dead. Bobby Dylan has been hospitalized for two months to recuperate from a neck fracture, concussion and severe face and back cuts. No one has the answers as yet, but in California several years ago, I saw the phenomena at its worse. On Saturday and Sundays, thousands of motorcyclists take to the high road and this locust clique is baffling. There is nothing quite like it in Atlanta now, but the growing cynicism of motorcyclists out Bankhead Highway, near my home, can not but make me believe that storm clouds are on the way a wild-eyed man in an automobile is easily spotted but a careening cyclist is often overlooked. Let's face it! The popularity of motorcycles is real. There will be millions of new converts brought about by the movies, which in the fames Bond tradition, have become engrossed wit this type of convenience. Hardly a "secret (private eye) investigator take to the hustings n the new television' series without using 'the hew horror device of, a motorcycle. Americans, in war or peace, have a tendency to wake up late, but his new menace is upon us. Alston (surprise) appraised Bra gan as one of the best brains in baseball, it must have been enough to make Alston fall on his face when Bragan was fired while the Dodgers were in Atlanta. I gather from the new book that Alston is a kindly man. Rarely have I read one of these baseball con fessionals in which the manager had such nice things to say about everybody. Alston even spoke glowingly of Jackie. Robinson (first Negro in baseball) and was effervescence over Roy. Campanella who he give a great deal of credit for his success. Bragan was a fine fellow who was the victim of his environment Birmingham) and according to Alton was one of the finest baseball brains in the major league. I will tell you more about this!!
