Beauchamp TEENS ABOUT TOWN The Magic Circle— This week it if my great privilege to bring into public view one of the most butstanding groups of young men in the city. The magic circle is proud to beam its multi-colored light on none other than the "Four men of the Apocalypse". The "Four Horsemen" are Eddie Walsh, Adell Smith, Roderick Diggs and yours truly. The purpose of his club are: (1) To drive everbody nuts, (2) To course heavy. (3) To prove that four fellows can be tops in just about everything, and (4) To try to outdo each other in friendly competition. Among the position held by the "Four Horsemen" are: president of the Student Council, Senior Times, vice president of the Senior Class, Cadet Colonel. Lt. Colonel Adjutant, of N. D. C. C. Battie group and three members of the Counts Social Club. This club meets everyday at just about every period to practice what it preaches: Joy. Joy Hughes wasn't so quiet, Eunice Logan wasn't Miss Everything Lester. Ricki McGraw wasn't a queen in every way. Willie C. Owens wasn't admired by so many chicks. Alva Crivens wasn't known as "the brain" Robert Wells would lose his cool Cordelia Porter and Carry Miller weren't tight. Twyita Miles wasn't "cute." Don't Tell Anyone, But — Ozell Golden almost got stabbed (better luck next time). Vera Merritt is still in love with Paul Sims. She says he has definitely got the power (and her nose too). Whittier Sengstacke is wearing shades for a good reason. Bettye Agness no longer claims Archie Scruggs (she says her heart still belongs to Benjamin Malone). Lawrence Trotter has an admirer in Shelbra Brooks. Douglass Bobo has trouble in deciding between two young ladies Henry Petty is hennecked. Verdia Foster has her H's mixed up (L.V. Hicks and Henry Montgomery). Lynn Ulen is continuously denying even showing John Milam (is this for Johnny Martin's benefit or is this the truth. Robert Davis is content being a bachelor. Georgia Carmon specializes in nose-jobs but she is fast running out of noses (Don't worry Georgia, the Christmas season will bring in a fresh supply. Rosie Miles has her heart at Carver. James Kincaid would like it publicly known that he has turned in his membership card to the James Kincaide Fan club). However Edith has nothing to worry about for if the fellows the claims she goes with really exist she is set for a happy holiday. Charles Brown and James Kincaide have a ball competing with each other to fee who will run Douglass. Nathaniel Guinn is known as a very smart guy around Douglass (and that isn't very easy). Donald Moss is looking for a nose to apply a Donald Moss special "guarenteed to last" nose-job. (However this nose-job hasn't worked on any young lady yet) Thelma "Penny" Jshmel has Clyde Warren under her spell. Aaron Slayden doesn't want anyone to know that he waxed and mopped Ann Shumuker's kitchen. Ricki McGraw is going to have a great time explaining Harry Johnson to Floyd Price when he comes home. The Dragons are now ready to meet Melrose, MMitcheall, Lester and Carver, say Nathaniel Hardaway, Robart Bradford, Larry Batchelor and Tolbert Bearden. So stand by. Believed to be the only active Negro explorer, scout in the Memphis area with a God and Country Award, is Odell Thompson, 13, of 158 Honduras Rd. The Rev. S. A. Owen, pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church, presented the award at a Geeter High School assembly. Odell is the son of Mrs. Maurice Fowler, who is the president of the Geeted P-TA. Both mother and son are members of the Metropolitan Baptist Church. Troop 193 members, we feel sure that you are happy and proud of this lad, Odell. We want to thank Loretta Monger and Margaret Osborn, who are 9th grade honor students for contributing a pair of shoes and buying a lunch for an eelementary student. The yearbook staff is planning the 63 Geeterite to be a grade- A publication. Yours truly, Harlod Ford, is editor-in-chief. The spotlight falls on a young man whose personality is most outstanding. Sammie Ball, president and member of 12-1 class, president of the Social Science Club, and who was voted the most studious of the seneior class, is worthy of being spotlighted. He resides at 435 Craft Read with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hall. He is a member of Now Nonconnah Baptist Church. Put your tie on for this young man — Mr. Samme Hall. Robert said that he is checking out of Hotel Loneliness because his best friend, Lamar, took his girl. Donna, Dorothy, Margaret, Ver- nice, Willye Mae and Hurlene are trying to be hard, but they just don't know they better get wise like all the others around the campus. There are five different girls that Earl likes. Rufus and Carolyn. Larry and Emma. James and Evelyn. Pete and Pat. Barret and Ada. Sammie and Bobbie. AWARDED I am Harold Ford, your reporter at Geeter High School, bringing you the news from top to bottom.
