The metadata was created by students enrolled in Dr. Miriam Clinton's Greek Art classes. The student cataloger's name can be found in the dc.contributor.advisor field. The image shows a single man sitting on the ground at an excavation site. We know from the label that this site was along the Royal Road North at Knossos, on Crete. The label also indicates "LA," which is either the grid square or the level. The man depitcted is holding a hand pick and sitting in the dirt, and before is an array of pottery. There are about 27 conical cups, and one jug/jar. There are also some rocks/pieces of earth/pottery sherds that have been put aside. There is a woven basket on the ground by the man, and someone else's legs in the background. We cannot see much of the surrounding area except for the ground where the man is sitting, which has been carved/excavated into different levels.en-USRhodes College owns the rights to the archival digital images in this repository.
