Abstract: A black coin from 383 to 408 CE with some sort of dirt or sand-like residue on it. The obverse has a diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right, holding spear and shield. On the reverse there is Arcadius standing facing, head left, holding standard and leaning on shield.
Description: This coin was acquired by the College on March 23, 2015 as part of a donation by Auben Gray Burkhart, a longtime friend of the College. The coin was digitized and added to DLynx by the Visual Resources Center during summer 2016.
