Abstract: Thai, late 19th early 20th century. Vessantara Jataka (old Buddhist story from India dealing with Last Previous Life of the Buddha). Brahmin asks Prince for his children; they hide in ponds. Prince calls them out and gives them away. The painting is held by a dark wooden frame. There is a sticker on the back of frame which says, "78.0110 Thai Painting 19th-20th century Vessantara Jataka".
Description: This object was photographed and inventoried during summer 2017 by Jane Esklidsen '19 and Reagan Alley '18. It was uploaded to DLynx during fall 2018.
