Abstract: | This image shows a partial view of some ruins at Kommos. This picture was taken from the bottom of a hill facing up where the hillside is lined with stones on one side and low plant cover on the other. The excavated Minoan walls occupy the foreground of the image. In the middle ground, an unidentified woman is visible walking away from the camera into the cover of the olive trees at the top of the hill. Other objects of daily use, such as shirts and plastic bags, are placed under the trees. A donkey is visible in the background, with plastic bags for artifacts lined up near it while an unidentified man loads bags onto its back. |
