Abstract: The image shows a man standing in an excavated portion of the Royal Road at Knossos. The orginal label describes it as a north section of the Royal Road at the JK exterior at the area of basement destruction. The man stands, hands in his pockets, on top of rocks that seem to form a level but not a finished surface. The ground around him shows rock and some exposed remnants of the hypothetical basement.
