Abstract: | Landcape with the remains of the Minoan Palace of Phaistos from MM I, specifically the Protopalatial period (c. 2000-1800 BCE). There is a large staircase, the Grand Staircase that accesses the Theater Court, which is recognizable due to the raised walkway. The Theatral Area itself is not visible, being directly below the frame of the picture. The ruins overlook a vast landscape with abunant greenery and mountains in the background. |
