Title: Stone Chair or Altar

Abstract: Four flat stone blocks with a flat top band base but an hourglass shaped midsection. The four stones come together to make a flat surface likely only one to two feet off the ground, and there is a sperate, large stone slab perpendicular and against the wall to create a back for this chair. The entire structure is built into a stone wall, and the shadows over the area as well as the sunken surroundings suggest that this area is below ground. Although this photograph was taken from the side, Horns of Consecration seem to decorate the top of the seating area, possibly suggesting that this was a throne. The flat-topped stones are in the shape of Minoan altars.
