Abstract
This digital image shows a statue of Forrest, a Confederate general, and the memorial/tomb for his body and his wife's body. More information on the statue can be found here: http://tennessee-scv.org/ForrestHistSociety/equestrian.html. As of 2015, following the anti-black terrorism in South Carolina, the memorial has been requested to be removed from the public park as it represents a racist Confederate. More information about this can be found here: http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/local-news/crowd-gathers-at-forrest-memorial-in-memphis. City Council has voted to remove it.
