Abstract
An Anthropological look at contemporary problems of change in South America from the perspective of First Peoples ( Native American, Indian ) and other peoples ( variously labeled peasant, third world, hybrid, compesino, coboclo, etc.) marginal to the market oriented political economy of the region.
