Abstract
Buckman Hall was built in 1991 and dedicated to Mertie and Stanley Buckman. Within it is the Daughdrill Tower. The building features many dormer windows, like many of the buildings on Rhodes? campus. The doorways consist of large pointed arches. Many of the windows are also in the shape of a pointed arch. The Rhodes seal is on the tower portion of the building. There are engaged columns of various sizes on the tower which makes it seem even taller than it is. To learn more see Collegiate Gothic: The Architecture of Rhodes College by William Morgan or visit the Rhodes website at www.rhodes.edu.
