Abstract
This image shows the staircase in the Theatral Area at Phaistos and a woman and two distant men. It was taken facing roughly south. The woman is descending the staircase and approaching an open area. The main focus of the photograph, however, is another staircase with an open space at the top of it, the main entrance of the palace (known as the Grand Staircase). Landscape of mountains and a valley is visible in the distance.
Description
This image was digitized and added to Dlynx by the Visual Resources Center during summer, 2023. The metadata was created by students enrolled in Dr. Miriam Clinton's Greek Art classes. The student cataloger's name can be found in the dc.contributor.advisor field.
