dc.description.abstractThis is a teapot that is black with gold floral motifs around the sides. The bottom of the teapot and the tip of the spout are also gold, as is the top handle. The teapot is lacquerware and has a paper label that says, "JAPAN, lacquerware Water Bowl and Pitcher used for ceremonial hand washing 19th century".en_US
