Abstract
This image shows a a gold gold hippocamp brooch with pendants that is part of the Karun treasure exhibition at the Uşak Museum of Archaeology. The Karun treasure collection, also known as the Lydian Hoard, is comprised of 363 Lydian artifacts that date from the 7th century BCE. This object was photographed at the Uşak Museum of Archaeology in Uşak, Turkey, in 2011. Dr. Tronchin notes: "No mention anywhere that this is the fake brooch planted in the museum by a thief in 2007."
